Necessary Acquisition Covet

Besides being the mecca of all that is fabulous and decadent, Bergdorf Goodman is now the home of the US debut of Jean Boggio for Franz. Best known as a jewelry designer in France, Jean is an incredible talent - chic and detailed, his pieces are witty, decorative and, ultimately, truly wearable art. Completely transforming the already amazing 7th floor, this installation has captured the true essence of luxury living. Gleaming lacquers and brightly hued porcelains with hints of art nouveau and French Polynesia come together in stunning wonder. Instantly and utterly smitten, I cannot decide which piece needs to come home with me.

This breathtaking installation, only through November 1st, is exclusively at Bergdorf Goodman

Whimsy keeps you light and lovely - a requirement for a luxurious life. Take this darling little Calourette Rabbit Ring in white enamel - a perfect piece to brighten and lighten your right hand. Beauty Covet

Over the last five years I've pretty much been a devotee to La Mer, from their eye creme to their face moisturizer to their cleansing gel and even the lip balm - I loved it all. Pampering myself each day, I used it religiously. It was a decadent addition to my skin care regime. Lately though, over the past few months, I felt as if my skin wasn't at its best - even with oxygen facials and specialized treatments, SPF and an Evian mineral water mister (a must poolside), something was amiss. So with a little research and a lot of trial and error, I landed on Olay Regenerist, and I have to say I'm thrilled! My skin is incredible - the texture has completely changed and is back to being soft, supple and radiant. I highly recommend it to all of you - you won't be disappointed. It will truly transform your skin.

Personally, I'm using the Micro Sculpting Cream, the Night Recovery Cream, the Regenerating Serum and the Eye Lifting Serum.

Olay Regenerist and at most drug stores

Reclining Covet

With a new creative direction in place and massive redesigns to their collection and artistic aesthetic, Restoration Hardware has reintroduced themselves in a most modern manner. If I can pick one piece to personify their design sense it would be the Oviedo Chaise. Perfectly styled with mid-century modern lines, this rugged and slightly distressed leather chaise is beyond comfortable - literally absorbing you into its curved bolsters. Classically beautiful yet industrial lines make this a stylishly artistic addition to your living room. I know it will mine.

Have you ever noticed how soft pink light bulbs are like magic to a room - well more than the most expensive interior designer on your speed dial. A matter of balance and wit, lighting can transform your room, your complexion and your mood in the most wondrous way. I am heading for an all out swoon with this Bespoke Chanel Silk Scarf Chandelier by designer Suzan Fellman. She has captured modern elegance by way of this opulent trinket - a daring and beautiful bauble to bring your room to life. A one of a kind treasure, draped with genuine pearls and vintage beads, this petite chandelier is a perfect compliment to any room.

The Coming Season Covet

Fall. It's coming, I can feel it and I'm absolutely thrilled. Don't get me wrong - I'm still the girl who loves a fabulous chiffon and sequined Oscar caftan with a pop of coral on tanned toes, hair perfectly tousled from the salted air, a more modern version of the caiproska in hand while entertaining our dearest as the sun melts into the ocean. I'm just ready for Fall. Falling leaves, temperatures and hemlines. It's the time of year to start squiring away your havaianas and pareos and start pulling out your cashmere and subtle hints of flannel. Yes darlings, flannel. When done right - like Alexander Wang's Flannel High-Heeled Chukka Bootie it is absolute perfection. Not for a style rookie, these gorgeous booties with stacked heel and platform are transcendent style ideal for your transition to Fall.

Available at www.bergdorfgoodman.com they'll be a staple wardrobe fixture for seasons to come.

Necessary Acquisition Covet

I love a pop of color, from turquoise Fu Dog bookends to a grass green cashmere throw casually yet so perfectly tossed across the back of your sofa. It's these touches, these details and attention to the extra-ordinary that bring a room to life.

My newest must have is this vintage Hermes tray table. Absolutely perfect for that daring pop of color and beyond chic at the same time. The classic Hermes orange is a stand
out piece to feature in your living room - although I'm thinking bedside table. A vase filled with fresh flowers, a sterling clock resting upon a stack of books, a lacquered tortoise shell box and Vie Luxe candle will round out this look to perfection.

Now, if only I could find it - vintage and Hermes make this a nearly impossible task. But no worries darlings - it will soon enough be mine.

RIP Lee "Alexander" McQueen

What a shocking and devastating loss to the fashion world and those who knew and loved him. A visionary and an icon - his work was unparalleled, cutting edge and brilliant. A true genius. Never one to follow trends - it was he who inspired so many others.

Rest in Peace Lee - you will be missed beyond your comprehension. x
